Liar Liar Pants on Fire

I spent the day thinking of things I would like to have in my gardens. It's a very bad for the budget when winters wanes on so long. Soon I'll blow our grocery allotment on pretty flowers, onion sets and seeds of things I can't make grow. I read through each seed catalog. I circle options. I turn down corners. I post it note the edges. Perhaps a bit of drool may have hit a page or two, thankfully they're mine and I can mutilate them however I  like.

So far I have decided on climbing nasturtiums on the neighbors fence, a bean teepee in a tire planter we formerly grew onions in, tomatoes in several locations to find a seriously productive spot to build a green house. Oh and rows of cutting flowers in the garden, a bit of biodiversity and bee attraction ought to brighten things up. The back porch is eluding me though. I haven't found the perfect plant but I will. Perfect for this area means highly tolerant of heat and sun, must smell delish, ornamental but possibly edible too. And look good as a cut flower, so I can dash out and pick some. Thinking. Thinking.

Thankfully I have LOTS of composted chicken manure to enrich all the gardens, planters, boxes, barrels and baskets. Yeah I definitely have spring fever, which is different from cabin fever in that I don't want to stab anyone with a fork I just want to make and remake garden plans. And then discuss them ad nauseum with my poor uninterested husband. His loss. Thankfully I can always get together with other master gardeners and talk rabidly about plants.

Ok, number 4 made me laugh out loud!

You are a woman of many talents, so I'm going to go with number 6. You're ambidextrous!

Oooo those are some good ones there. I'm afraid to guess that you were a smoker, but I think that has to be it because it's so out of character.

I'm with you on the garden stuff. I got a seed catalogue and immediately ignored the looming need to make dinner.
