I can't help myself.
Must buy old Pyrex.
Except that this
and this?
Not old Pyrex rather it's old Fire King, which is fine with me. Pyrex was made by Corning. Fire King was part of Anchor Hocking. I don't care about the label but that it speaks to my soul of days past, meals shared and lives lived.

Did you know that Corning Ware has reintroduced the blue cornflower pattern? A new casserole dish can cost an arm and leg compared to the vintage ones.
I hadn't heard that Linda. But I have a TON of the 'old' cornflower set. I use it a lot for baking and food storage. LOVE it and it's dirt cheap, literally 2 bucks for a set of three nice pieces, can't go wrong there. Found a coffee pot and platter last week didn't buy them though...doubting myself now :(
You do NOT need an intervention...you just need a beefy guy with a hammer to build you a Corning Ware cupboard!!
oooh me likey!
I love old Pyrex and FireKing, too! We use our pieces almost every day. My mom gave me a lot of her old pie dishes, and I have a few bowls and rectangular casserole dishes and the white French Provencial cookware given to us as wedding gifts nearly 30 years ago. I love finding new-to-me pieces at the thrift store.
These bring back so many memories of Granny's kitchen when I was small. I'm definitely going to be on the lookout for pyrex like this!
I have the same addiction! And I like the pyrex and fireking equally.
