Beloved Yellow Dog
I miss you
Sorry folks I got nothing today, we had to put our old yellow dog down tonight. She was on her rounds, she did them twice a day at least, and she was hit at a high rate of speed by a large truck. Both of her back legs were severly broken. I was with her for 15 minutes before my husband got home. I told her all the lovely things I could think of. I scratched her ears and kissed her sweet spot.
The vet didn't know if she would ever recover or live without pain. We chose to let her go and be pain free. We buried her in bluebell field, on her sheep skin rug with a piece of cheese and a four leaf clover. Our boys made simple crosses and headstones for her. This is their first taste of loss.

Oh Laura, I am so sorry to hear about Kami. We are also dog lovers and have a golden retriever and black lab. Sounds like she had a good 11 years, living on the farm with you guys. Take care:)
I am literally crying after reading that - I am so sorry for your loss. Losing a pet is terrible and I hate that ya'll are having to experience this. I am sure Kami led a great life and you made a good decision not to make her live our her life in pain. Again, I am so sorry for your loss.
I am SO sorry to hear about your dog. I had to put mine down in January after 16 years of being my best friend. My granddaughter and I hugged and cried for hours, so I know just how you feel. So sorry for your loss...

Oh sweetie I am so sorry. I have tears in my eyes after reading this. We had to put our 16 yo family dog down just a couple weeks ago. I understand what you're feeling. My heart goes out to you and the boys.
Kami was such a beautiful girl. And that's a great picture of her.

I'm so sorry for your loss of your four-legged family member, Kami. My family always had dogs when I was growing up, and living on a very busy road- we know all too well the pain of losing a dog to a passing car. You and your family are in my heart tonight.
I'm so sorry to hear about your dog. It's such a sad part of life.
So sorry to hear about your sweet doggie, that's always so hard.
