Michaelmas

Today we celebrated St. Michael, the dragon slayer, who conquered the dragon and brought hope to his people. We celebrated the strengths of our boys by having them run a leaf maze and having some foot races too. It was great fun! We had a grand time turning some leftover silver insulation in to armor,

which was worn the rest of the day.

Making dragon bread.

Running leaf mazes.

Eating an all Alaskan harvest feast( except the bread)

I linked up our celebration to:

Love the dogs costume, how funny. Great idea to use that foil insulation!! Did you make the dragon bread in your outdoor oven?

Oh Laura, you made me tear up! Happy Michealmas to you and your lovely family. What I love the best is how you create magic with your boys! I did that when my girls were little and still try to instill that wonder in their teens. I think THAT is the true gift of a mom. I am totally sharing this on my thoughts on friday link love at a moderate life because I think its an inspiration to all moms to PLAY and help their kids to DREAM! Thanks so much for sharing with us on the hearth and soul hop--love, the big mush...alex@amoderatelife

And this is why I love you, because I don't know anyone else who would do this. Sounds like a hoot!
