Mr. Bento Giveaway

Who consistently brings you awesome giveaway? Me! Who's one of my repeat sponsors of giveaways here? CSN. Their site offers everything from the perfect laptop messenger bag to Le Creuset dutch ovens in one convenient place. Sweet.

I'm a HUGE proponent of bringing food with you, it was a great way to get through a year of NOT eating out. Grab your lunch box, bento box or cooler and go. But that habit of packing food has been with me for quite a while, my oldest son in going to be 18 in a month and I discovered early on a great way to avoid the cranky kid syndrome was to have food available after sports or shopping or whatever. I always had snacks with us and after he was diagnosed a type 1 diabetic it was EVEN more important to support his blood sugar with good food.

You know when kids are truly hungry they'll eat just about anything. This is a great way to work fruits and veggies into their repertoire and yours. Yes adults will eat just about anything too, if it's the ONLY thing available. HINT HINT. Carry good food to avoid bad food, for you and your kids.

One great way to save money and eat healthier is to pack a lunch. If you spend 10 bucks a day to go for lunch just 3 times a week it adds up. To a WHOPPING 1500 dollars a year! That's enough for two tickets to Hawaii or, ahem, to Alaska to come and see me. What if you ate lunch out everyday? 2600 dollars. And just for kicks what if lunch costs more twice a week, like oh say 15 dollars a day and 10 dollars the other 3 days? 3,120 dollars. Well then eating leftovers might be worth it?

We are lunch box'n fools and now you can be too! Enter to win this bad boy:

The Mr. Bento 41 ounce Thermal Lunch Box--From CSN "The Mr. Bento™ Stainless Lunch Jar contains 4 microwavable inner bowls and includes a forked spoon with cover and an easy-carry bag. The outer container features durable stainless steel construction and vacuum insulation with excellent heat retention"

To enter you must be a follower then:
  1. simply leave a comment telling me if you pack or buy lunch
  2. blogroll me for a second entry-leave a comment
  3. write about the giveaway on your blog with a link to this post
  4. tweet "save money with @whats4dinnermom http://su.pr/19OHn4"
  5. link up on Sunday to the Penny Worthy Project-link art projects, crafts, etsy stores, thrifting posts any kind of post about how you keep sane in the world today
The giveaway will end next Monday night and I'll announce the winner on Tuesday morning. Good luck!

 Peace and Love--

Oh I love this thing! My hubs will be taking his lunch daily upon returning to the states. Quite a change for him but that's how it rolls with penny pinching!

I do about half and half. When I pack lunch for my husband, its usually left overs. For me, its some kind of un nutritous frozen boxed meal from weigh watchers or lean cuisine. I totaly love this mr. Bento set!

Love this! Just this morning as I was packing my lunch, I was scrambling to find some tupperware to put it all in! This would work great for me. I take my lunch to work 4 days a week, and then on Fridays always treat myself and go out to eat with co-workers...it keeps me sane:)

Of course you are on my blogroll:)

I pack my lunch every day. The only exceptions are a few times a school year when all of us teachers order lunch during professional development.

Excellent giveaway! I pack my lunch in bento boxes and tiffins, and a Mr. Bento has always been on my dream list!

A sweet home-packed lunch is a million times better than a purchased lunch AND far, far cheaper.

I just found your blog through the First Fridays post. Great recipes!

I am lucky enough to eat lunch at home. I do pack a lunch for my hubby when he can't have lunch at home. Not only does it mean he has a healthy balanced lunch but it is a huge time and money saver for him!

Hi Laura, would love to enter this giveaway. I don't work outside the home but both my kids pack lunch daily and had been bugging me for a bento box each. I follow you in all possible ways. All the best, Alex
