I've been studiously working away in my studio, knowing that once summer comes I won't want to be inside until fall. So I organize, donate, throw out and keep going, slowly but surely it's coming around. I've been hauling stuff to the thrift store for months now, it feels so good. Look, I found a copy of my senior picture:
Here's a before of the studio with things stacked:
Here's after a few hours of work, things are getting cleaner,
shelved
and hung.
Seeing my sewing machine, makes me see how old it really is. It's a champ though!
Do you have a leprechaun? Ours has been pretty quiet this year but we actually caught him today after setting up a trap for him. Taping a peso to a piece of paper over a hole was a good idea but he stole the peso when we weren't looking. He had a little grappling hook made from paper clips and was climbing away when Union spotted him on top of the cupboards. I snatched him up and we stuck him in a jar for safe keeping. See?

OMG, Laura, this one made me laugh out loud several times! Best post ever! Happy Spring Break from my side of town to yours. :)
I love your studio!!! You are an inspiration for sure. Every time I open my kitchen cupboards, the higglety-pigglety stacked bowls and mismatched tupperware are screaming at me. Love the high school picture.
Your studio is looking really good! Love the shelves.
And such a pretty photo!! :)
(Hope snow melts soon for you...hardest time of year in my humble opinion)
My kiddoes have fewer toys too!! This mommy does clean up & donate! Thinking this summer I'll have the girls choose & sort their things for a yard sale....they can have their own table & keepntheir profit ( pretty good considering they didn't buy the toys!!). Glad u caugt a leprechaun, hope he's got the map tothe gold in his little pocket....or a map to a great spa!
Woah, senior photo! You look like a model! :)
I continue to LOVE donating as much as I can. (To the point of accidentally donating some dumpster finds I had yet to hang- no!) Three months in and I'm feeling the difference. House feels lighter, I feel lighter.
