Ohh which to do first? A giveaway? Or my thrifting finds? Ok I think I'll go thrifting finds THEN giveaway.
I found 2 gallon ziploc bags full of playmobil people for 50¢.
I swear framed put together puzzles go for 20 dollars and these, which can be sold for 10 bucks or so, go for 50¢? That's so wrong, no wonder the crappy framed puzzles never sell.
I found a replacement copy of another of my favorite books:
My last copy broke and the last 1/4 of the book began falling out. As you can see this being 1300+ pages will be a winter reader for me, no time in the summer.
I also found this interesting little cookbook called comfort food:
Written in the '80s it includes recipes made with {GASP} real butter and sugar. It also seems to include a lot of 'war food' recipes and I think I'll enjoy reading it at least.
And on to the giveaway! For my blogoversary I gave away many things, one of favorite were the little Madeleines cookies made by Donsuemore. I first tasted these at BlogHer Food 10. Their representative brought a box to breakfast and I was lucky enough to have her sit with us. I pushed my breakfast aside and ate cookies instead. They were really good and we've had a nice working relationship ever since, best part is I get cookies!
I want to share a little mixed box of their best sellers with one lucky reader. All you have to do is check out their website and leave me a comment about which kind of Madeleine or Cute Cakes you think you'd like to sample. Simple and easy! If you link up a thrifty living post too, leave another comment for an extra entry. I'll draw a winner on Wednesday night and post the winner on Thursday's post.
So how did you spend a thrifty week? Please feel free to share any thrifty living posts from pantry living etsy stores, to ebay listings, hyena cart stores, thrifting finds, crating, poetry, upcycling, budgeting, meal planning or anything else you may do to survive and thrive in the world today.
Peace and Love--
