I never said I was a cake maker

And if I did I was a liar. One little boy turned 6 a few weeks ago, the other little boy will be 8 on Sunday. The last cake I had to make was a Red Flag Pirates Ship for the 6 year old...witness

Once I made an air craft carrier, ok I made the planes and my husband made the carrier out of poster board. This was tough, have you ever made gray frosting? Not. Easy. At least the carrier looked good.

I made a treasure chest last year...or the year before?

And way way way back I made a castle in the sky cake.

But today I have the ultimate challenge, Cowboys and Indians Party, lots of bb gun shooting, bows and arrows too, boys in costumes...I'm making a stockade cake. What do you think? Pretzel rods surrounding a chocolate cake. I have been brainstorming the last 2 weeks and this is the best idea I've had. Wish me luck, cause I'm gonna need it.

Peace and Love--

Your pirate ship looks a lot like my Columbus Day ship. I think kids are nowhere near as critical as we are, as long as it looks kinda like what it is. A Fort Cake sounds awesome! And those airsoft bb guns are some of the best fun around. You're gonna be the coolest mom in town.

pretzel rods make great teepee frames and little stick pretzels make great camp fires. Good luck Laura, you are a great mom.
