Old man winter crept silently in the other day. Where we once had scant snow we now had almost a foot, the world is muted, cold and lovely.
A long winter weekend at home meant lots of time to get creative. I finished not one but two hats, I have photos of neither one of them, but trust me they are done and cute. I need to figure out how to size them a bit better because even me, of the giant head clan, has a hat that's a little too big. I guess I'll wash it and see if it shrinks.
I also finished this banner to hang in my mudroom--I really like the way it turned out.
A couple friends and I had a crafting day last week and I started it then, I finally strung it and hung it on Saturday. I used some thrifted fabric and carved some potatoes into stamps. Custom made just for me.
And we made some new Martinmas lanterns. Simple and beautiful and just the right amount of messy for our kids.
Today is the last day to enter to win the Seventh Generation and Le Creuset gift pack over on my giveaway and review blog.
And if you're interested I produced a vlog post for Flatout Flatbread, it's number one of three so I'll let you know when the others go live.
Peace and Love--

It's mild down here, but the days have been calm and cloudy and perfect for crafting, cleaning, and writing indoors. Cute crafts you've pictured, I can't wait to finish my work and get to some crafting of my own :)
I'm sure our days here in Iowa are coming with snow...it's cold, but so far only 1 day of snow! (That melted soon after...)
