Behold one of two remaining pieces.
The total time spent tearing out disgusting carpet was about 2 hours, with ample time for water breaks and listening to stories.
The results are almost bare nekkid stairs and a starting point for creating a tree you climb through to reach the upper floor.
Next on the demolition list that UGLY suspended ceiling hanging over the stairs. Gee maybe I should have ripped that out BEFORE tearing off all the padding and carpet on the stairs...GULP

This is the kind of job that is SO EASY to ignore (especially mid-winter) but it feels SO GOOD when its done. I hope you show "after" photos.
